I never completed, but TR Legend and especially Underworld were a lot of fun to me. Combined with a cast of characters that were generally well developed and memorable. I think what helped Uncharted was that it was very, very linear and featured those cinematic set-pieces as a means to distance itself from Tomb Raider.

I'm wanting to do a full replay of the first two games again before diving into the 3rd one for a full run through. I can't offer much about the third Tomb Raider game - I started it when it came out (IIRC it's be a bit more 'open' and exploration-focused) and ultimately decided until all the DLCs had been released. Uncharted just never hooks me.I even tried skipping the first one (which seems to be acknowledged as the weakest of that series).I genuinely do not like Drake. I've played through the first two Tomb Raider games multiple times and have enjoyed them every time. Drake just comes across to me as a shallow, money-grubbing a-hole while Croft feels more 'Real' to me because of her vulnerabilities. To me, it comes down to a difference of opinion of the protagonists. I do have to wonder if the difference opinion partly comes from which series you played first? I played the Tomb Raider series long before I attempted to dive into Uncharted.I kept finding myself thinking about playing TR again as I played it. This is an interesting review to me because what you have to say about Tomb Raider is how I feel about Uncharted (though I do agree with some of your gameplay and narrative-specific items).
